Larry Pointer
Larry is originally from Washington, where he attended Western Washington University in Bellingham. His professional career started in the auto rental industry. After working several years for a major company, he decided to be an owner/operator of an auto/truck business in southern California.
In 2006, he sold the business and started working with a friend building racecars, purchasing mil-spec hardware for the builds.
After two years, Larry moved on to work with Coast Fabrication, a hardware supplier to nearly every major race team in the US and several Formula 1 teams.
Larry learned other aspects of the business once he caught the ‘bug’ for hardware, which included purchasing and management of the company.
During this time, he began selling to SpaceX and, soon after, other launchers, as well as the flying car (eVTOL) industry. Consequently, Coast Fabrication was sold to a UK-based company. He remained on board until early 2022, when DNL Components was launched.
Larry’s outside interests include bicycle riding and racing; he enjoyed motorcycle racing in his youth.
Donny Franco
A Southern California native, Donny has worked both the aerospace manufacturing and distributing for decades.
His decade-plus experience at Coast Fabrication helped give him an encyclopedic knowledge of AN/MS/NAS fasteners. Along with his myriad industry contacts, Donny can help you rapidly source hard-to-find parts. As a business owner, Donny continues to provide customers with an unparalleled service experience.
When not in the office, Donny can be found backpacking in the High Sierras, attending auto races, and enjoying all Orange County has to offer.
Cody Leifken
Cody is originally from New Jersey where his professional career started in the autobody industry. After working several years for a family-owned business, he decided to start working with a friend building racecars as a chassis technician and composite specialist.
After four years, Cody moved went to work with Coast Fabrication, a hardware supplier to nearly every major race team in the US and several Formula 1 teams.
Cody learned other aspects of the business including inventory management and operations. After Coast Fabrication was sold to a UK-based company. he remained on board until late 2022.
After working at Coast Fabrication, he joined DNL Components to work with longtime friends, work colleagues, and mentors Larry Pointer, and Donny Franco.
Cody’s outside interests include playing guitar and racing, and he enjoyed dirt bike trail riding during his youth.
